ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Joanna Michaels

Joanna Michaels writes cozy fantasy novels filled with enchanted places, quiet mysteries, found family, and the kind of magic that changes lives one small step at a time.

Joanna has always loved stories about places that feel real enough to visit and characters who become friends long before the final page. Her novels explore belonging, second chances, and the quiet courage required to choose a place—and a life—you can truly call home.

Inspired by old bookshops, winding village streets, forgotten maps, and long walks through the countryside, her stories blend gentle fantasy with warm-hearted characters and communities worth returning to.

Many of her books take place in Ashwick, a market town where books occasionally have opinions, forests remember old promises, and rivers keep secrets longer than they should.

When she is not writing, Joanna can usually be found planning future stories, collecting far too many notebooks, and imagining what might be hidden just beyond the next lane.

A Note to Readers

Thank you for visiting.

Whether you've just discovered Ashwick or have already spent time wandering its streets, I hope my stories offer a place to pause, breathe, and believe that a little magic still exists in the world.

I look forward to sharing many more adventures with you.
